Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager at Kern & Thompson, Jonna works with a variety of nonprofit organizations on tax, audit, and review engagements, helping mission-driven clients navigate complex financial and regulatory landscapes. Driven by a deep desire to help others, she began her career as a cancer immunotherapy researcher in the lab of a large regional hospital. Eventually, she realized she was ready for a new direction. While continuing to work in the lab, Jonna earned her B.S. in Accounting and redirected her passion for service into becoming a trusted advisor for nonprofits across Oregon and beyond.

In her spare time, Jonna enjoys snuggling with her dog, playing ukulele with friends, hiking, growing vegetables, and foraging for tasty plants and mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest forests.  She also sits on the boards of Columbia Humane Society and Swan Songs Portland as Treasurer.

Jonna is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).
