Senior Staff Accountant

Ashley is a Senior Staff Accountant at Kern & Thompson, LLC and primarily provides auditing and accounting services to not-for-profit organizations.

Ashley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Portland State University and an Associate of Arts degree from College of DuPage in Illinois. She is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining our firm, Ashley was both a Full Charge Bookkeeper at a local not-for-profit which provides economic opportunities, education and advocacy for workers’ and immigrants’ rights, and an Administrative Assistant at another local not-for-profit which provides capacity building trainings and strategic campaigning for working people.

Prior to her accounting career, Ashley worked in the food and retail industry for 10+ years, including 2 years at a collectively owned and operated café, giving her great customer service skills and an understanding of small business operations and management.

Ashley enjoys cooking, spending time with animals, and traveling around the Pacific Northwest in her free time.
